Xona Space Systems Unveils Pulsar Verified Ecosystem Program

Xona Space Systems has introduced Pulsar Verified, a new ecosystem partnership program designed to help receiver manufacturers, chipset integrators and test equipment developers validate hardware against the company’s Pulsar low-Earth orbit (LEO) navigation signals.

The program comes as Xona’s Pulsar-0 demonstration satellite completes its first year in orbit. During that period, the company logged more than 350 transmission passes across four continents, collected TB of observation data, pushed four software updates to the satellite, and tracked signal reception from commercial receivers in locations ranging from Finland to Australia.

What Pulsar Verified Does
Pulsar Verified provides a formal technical verification process that confirms a device can receive and operate with Pulsar signals, tested by the same engineering team that designed them. The program seeks to accelerate LEO-PNT integration through the existing commercial GNSS supply chain.
“Launching Pulsar Verified as we begin to scale the deployment of our production constellation gives customers the ability to build for the service we’ll offer tomorrow, today,” said Tyler Reid, Xona co-founder and CTO.

Resilience as the Driving Factor
Trimble is among the Xona’s partners, with devices dating to 2018 being brought into Pulsar compatibility. Septentrio, part of Hexagon and a recent participant in Xona’s Series C fundraise, is working to integrate Pulsar across its next-generation device lineup. STMicroelectronics, Safran, StarNav and Keysight are also part of the inaugural wave.

Xona is positioning the program against a growing threat environment for GNSS. Jamming and spoofing incidents, once concentrated in conflict zones, are increasingly affecting commercial aviation, shipping, agriculture, autonomous systems and financial infrastructure.

“In live-sky jamming tests in several countries, we watched as GNSS went dark but Pulsar held. Pulsar’s stronger signals can shrink a jammer’s effective area by as much as 95%, proving that next-generation PNT can stay available even as legacy systems are disrupted,” Reid said.
