Jericho Receivers LLC has introduced a new ATSC 3.0 receiver designed to improve mobile broadcast reception, data delivery and connectivity for consumer and professional applications.
The receiver supports the ATSC 3.0, or NextGen TV, broadcast standard, which combines over-the-air television with IP-based data services to deliver higher-quality video, interactive features and enhanced emergency alerting. The company said the platform is intended for both entertainment and mission-critical communications.
According to Jericho Receivers, the receiver incorporates several hardware and software enhancements, including:
- Internal UHF and 2.4 GHz antennas designed to support future multiple-input, multiple-output (MIMO) broadcast architectures.
- RF filtering to reduce interference from 600 MHz LTE networks and harmonic signals.
- Optimized ATSC 3.0 data processing for Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity.
- Improved filtering of transmitted data to enhance security and system performance.
- Support for translating ATSC Link-Layer Protocol data streams for compatibility with existing applications and media players.
The company said the receiver’s improved sensitivity can expand broadcaster coverage while enabling reliable mobile reception in challenging RF environments. It also said the platform could support public safety messaging and other secure data distribution services in addition to television broadcasting.
“We’ve achieved our ambitious goals with the ATSC 3.0 receiver,” said Dean Goodman, founder of Jericho Receivers. Stephan Sloan, a partner in the company, said the receiver’s sensitivity “adds population to a station’s reach,” benefiting both viewers and broadcasters.
Jericho Receivers demonstrated the technology during the 2025 NAB Show in Las Vegas, where broadcasters and technology companies showcased advances in ATSC 3.0, including mobile reception, datacasting and enhanced emergency communications. The NextGen TV standard is now available across most major U.S. television markets, with ongoing development focused on mobile services and new data applications.
