The catastrophic earthquake that struck Turkiye and northern Syria on Feb. 6, killing more than 50,000 people, has highlighted the need for improved methods to monitor surface changes.
GMV is using high-resolution optical imagery to map the population and infrastructure of several cities in Turkiye after the 7.8 magnitude earthquake.
A magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck Turkey and northern Syria collapsing buildings and killing more than 2,000 people, followed by magnitude 6.7 aftershocks.
