NAVISP Industry Days

January 22 - January 23

Every minute of the day Europe’s EGNOS and Galileo navigation systems are serving our continent and the world respectively, providing high-precision positioning, navigation and timing (PNT) information. ESA set up the Navigation Innovation and Support Programme (NAVISP) to look beyond the current programmes, developing new ways to acquire and make use of navigation data.

Next year’s NAVISP Industry Days will take place on 22-23 January 2020 at ESA’s ESTEC establishment in Noordwijk, the Netherlands – the Agency’s technical heart and the home of ESA’s Navigation programme.

More than 150 participants attended last year’s event, exchanging views on a wide range of presentations covering all aspects of PNT technology.

NAVISP seeks to boost ESA Member State industrial competitiveness across the upstream and downstream navigation sectors while investigating the integration of satellite navigation with non-space technologies and complementary positioning and communication techniques.

Into its third year of operations, NAVISP projects have tackled subjects as varied as applying PNT to festival management, power grid infrastructure, reducing satnav signals’ susceptibility to interference and jamming and time measurement based on pulsars in deep space.

Registration for the event will soon be open on our NAVISP website. Please spread the word about this event to everyone with an interest in PNT topics.
