According to the announcement, with GpsGate Server you can track your vehicles in real time in a web browser using the maps of your choice. Extensive reporting capabilities help you analyze fleet behaviour and collect key figures for business decisions. A powerful rule wizard is used to configure alerts for events such as SOS, vehicle theft, temperature alert, speeding, excessive idling, off hours vehicle usage and geofence violations.

The GpsGate Server platform supports more than 100 tracking devices and tracking clients are available for Windows, iPhone, Android, Blackberry. and Symbian devices. Multiple maps, including the user's own custom maps, can be used. Thirteen languages are included and new languages are easily added, according to Franson Technology AB, which makes the software and is based in Stockholm, Sweden. Developers can customize the user interface, integrate GpsGate Server with external systems, add tracking device support and much more using the open APIs, protocols and data formats.

GpsGate Server is easy to install with pre-configured application templates. The GpsGate Server plugin architecture allows users to update existing functionality and download new plugins directly from the application.
