Rakon Ltd. has announced two new TCXO (temperature compensated crystal oscillator) modules for precision GPS and other applications. Both the RTX7050A (7.0 mm x 5.0 mm) and RTX5032A (5.0 mm x 3.2 mm) employ an analogue IC for both the oscillator and temperature compensation.

Rakon’s fully integrated RTX-A TCXOs offer typical phase noise of -154dBc/Hz at 100 kHz offset for a 50 MHz TCXO. Frequencies are available from 5 to 52 MHz. With exceptional frequency stability down to ±0.1 ppm, the RTX-A series is available over a wide temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, the company said.
 
Either model is designed for applications where low phase noise is critical.
