Vehicle Navigation System Testing Now Supported by IFEN's GNSS RF Navigation Constellation Simulator

September 7, 2010

IFEN GmbH is announcing that its GNSS RF navigation constellation simulator NavX-NCS now supports the emulation of various vehicle motion sensors for testing of today’s multi-sensor vehicle navigation systems. The NavX-NCS is now able to generate coherently the GNSS RF signals and the signals from various vehicle motion sensors. A CAN bus interface with customized CAN messages is also supported.

“The new feature is the next step in satisfying the GNSS testing needs of the automotive area and demonstrates the adaptability of our NavX-NCS to the test requirements of all sorts of applications once again,” explains Günter Heinrichs, Head of Customer Applications. “Thanks to the support of the Robert Bosch Car Multimedia GmbH, we
are able to demonstrate the new feature at our booth at the upcoming ION GNSS 2010 congress in September in Portland, Oregon, and at the International Automotive Suppliers Fair (IZB) in October in Wolfsburg, Germany.”

IFEN offers different classes of GNSS RF constellation signal generators for its customers' GNSS testing applications. The NavX-NCS is a flexible RF signal generator for multi-GNSS constellations. With up to 108 signal channels and 9 L-band frequencies, GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, and QZSS can be simulated simultaneously
