Trimble Introduces EZ-Sync Wireless Data Transfer Solution for Growers and Agribusiness

February 11, 2010

Trimble is introducing EZ-Sync solution, a wireless data transfer capability that provides enhanced information management for growers and agribusinesses. EZ-Sync, an addition to the EZ-Office suite, wirelessly links the field to the office by transferring information such as planned and completed jobs, guidance lines, soil sampling and scouting maps, application maps, and variable rate prescription maps. EZ-Sync is expected to be available in March.

The EZ-Sync solution is compatible with Trimble handheld devices with wireless capability, such as the Trimble Juno SC or Trimble Nomad 800XC. Both field-ready devices use EZ-Office Mobile software. This makes it possible to wirelessly send GPS maps such as soil sampling, field scouting, and boundary maps, from the field to the office.

From the tractor, sprayer or combine cab, EZ-Sync also works for transferring data wirelessly to or from the Trimble AgGPS FmX integrated display. This capability provides growers and agribusinesses the ability to wirelessly send work orders, including variable rate prescription maps, from the office to the field. When a job is completed in the field, the “as applied” map can be sent back to the office in order to streamline data management.
