UPINLBS-2010 Seeks Paper Submissions for October Conference
May 14, 2010The deadline for abstracts submissions is June 30 for the international Ubiquitous Positioning, Indoor Navigation, and Location Based Service conference (UPINLBS-2010), sponsored by the Finnish Geodetic Institute.
The conference includes sessions on multi-constellation GNSS issues, wireless network and sensor fusion, pedestrian and indoor navigation, and 3D modeling/ and application development for indoor navigation applications. The conference will follow the IEEE standard.
The conference will be held October 14–15, 2010, in Helsinki, Finland, at Congress Hotel Majvik in Kirkkonummi, Finland, close to the Finnish Geodetic Institute. There is a local train connection from near the hotel to downtown Helsinki.
Keynote speakers are:
- Günter Hein, European Space Agency
- Gérard Lachapelle, University of Calgary, Canada
- Jari Syrjärinne, Nokia Inc., Finland
- Dorota Grejner-Brzezinska, The Ohio State University, USA, and GPS World Tech Talk Blog editor.
Events inlude an opening session, keynote speeches, technical sessions, industry
demonstrations, and poster sessions. The preliminary program includes sessions on:
- GNSS for Degraded and Denied Signal Environments
- Locating Sensor and GNSS Receiver Technologies
- Wireless Network Based Positioning
- Location-Based Services and Applications
- 3D Modeling for Navigation Applications
- Visual-Aided Navigation
- Pedestrian and Indoor Navigation
- Integration Algorithms for Multi-Sensor and Multi-Network Positioning
Industry participants are also invited to demonstrate at the technical exhibition area at the conference venue, and conference sponsors are welcome.
