October 1 is Deadline for UPINLBS-2010 Conference Registration

The deadline for registration is October 1 for the international Ubiquitous Positioning, Indoor Navigation, and Location Based Service conference (UPINLBS-2010), sponsored by the Finnish Geodetic Institute.

The conference includes sessions on multi-constellation GNSS issues, wireless network and sensor fusion, pedestrian and indoor navigation, and 3D modeling/ and application development for indoor navigation applications. The conference will follow the IEEE standard.

The conference will be held October 14–15 in Helsinki, Finland, at Congress Hotel Majvik in Kirkkonummi, Finland, close to the Finnish Geodetic Institute. A local train connection is available near the hotel to downtown Helsinki.

Keynote speakers are:

  • Günter Hein, European Space Agency
  • Gérard Lachapelle, University of Calgary, Canada
  • Jari Syrjärinne, Nokia Inc., Finland
  • Dorota Grejner-Brzezinska, The Ohio State University, USA, and GPS World Tech Talk Blog editor.

Events inlude an opening session, keynote speeches, technical sessions, industry demonstrations, and poster sessions. The conference program at a glance is as follows:

Wednesday, October 13
16:00-18:30: Registration at Congress Hotel Majvik
18:30-21:00: Cocktail reception and Sauna at Congress Hotel Majvik

Thursday, October 14
08:00-17:30: Registration, opening session, keynote speeches, technical sessions, industry exhibition, poster sessions
18:00-21:00: Conference Dinner

Friday, October 15
09:00-14:00: Technical sessions, industry exhibition, poster sessions, closing session.
