GTX Corp. Joins with Chambers of Commerce on Location Advertising

March 22, 2011

GTX Corp., which provides two-way GPS Personal Location Services (PLS), and ADAM, Inc., a platform for Hyper Local Mobile Apps for Directories, entered into an exclusive revenue share agreement allowing 123 Chambers of Commerce representing more than 100,000 businesses nationwide to push out proximity alert promotions, using the GTX Corp GPS/PLS Platform and leveraging its growing GPS Tracking Smartphone App user base, GTX Corp. announced.

“It’s a perfect partnership of connecting businesses with consumers," said Patrick Bertagna, CEO of GTX Corp. "We provide technology that pushes out content in real time to specific geographical areas through our robust enterprise platform and ADAM brings its relationships with thousands of businesses that want and need to easily and cost-effectively promote products and services to consumers that are nearby.”

Proximity marketing will push location-based service revenues to nearly $13 billion over the next few years, GTX Corp. said, and Gartner reports that 42 percent of consumers use their phone to check a store location, 31 percent use it for a mobile promotion, and 17 percent use their phone for the actual purchase.

With a soft launch expected as early as next month utilizing ADAM’s flagship product MyChamberApp, a mobile app for Chambers of Commerce, the company will offer daily promotions to LOCiMOBILE’s community, enabling users to opt in for special deals that may be right around the corner. ADAM also brings a network of more than 200 regional sales reps dedicated to serving their local chamber members, which is on target to reach 600,000 enterprise members by the end of the year.
