GPS Tracking Devices Announced by Locate Mobiles

Locate Mobiles (www.mobilelocators.com) has announced the launch of three new personal mobile GPS location tracing products, a watch, a PC pen, and the rechargeable GPS matchbox.

A consumer device, the GPS watch is fitted with a rechargeable Li-Ion battery and has 2-band GSM antenna for pinpoint accuracy. It is designed for those with children, elderly parents, or to wear for extra security while at home or travelling abroad. To check the watch's location, a user calls the sim card placed in the GPS watch from a mobile phone. The GPS chip determines its precise location and then sends a text message back to the phone with a map link. The product uses Google Maps, so there are no additional fees beyond purchase of the watch itself.

The GPS Pen and GPS Matchbox are for fleet or van tracking businesses. The GPS Pen is a plug-and-play movement recorder. Once plugged into a PC, the software automatically downloads to the PC. Like an aircraft black box recorder the GPS pen stores all its movements on an internal memory chip and has a built in LCD screen. It is designed for tracking stolen assets such as vehicles, mobile homes, and boats.

The GPS Matchbox differs from the pen in that it runs off rechargeable batteries, which last approximately 12 hours, and doesn't have an internal LCD screen. A less expensive option for vehicle tracking, the Matchbox is designed for covert surveillance and private investigative work.
