Art Kalinski, GISP, is the former GIS Manger of the Atlanta Regional Commission. He was a career naval officer who established the Navy’s first GIS, using it to complete the Navy’s 1987 base re-alignment effort. He currently serves as a national GIS consultant for Pictometry International, helping with implementation of oblique imagery technology in homeland security and military applications.
