GLONASS is great! I have my own story as a proof. I am co-founder of Cloud Your Car (http://cloudyourcar.com), providing simple tool for fleet management and optimizing fuel economy for international trucks. We do support GLONASS because it boosts positioning accuracy. While development we found out that with traditional GPS we could have usually 8-12 satellites on the sky. With GLONASS we see at least 20 (!) satellites that makes obtaining first fix much faster and boosts its general performance.
