SARS Announces Fleet Tracking Service

December 7, 2007

SARS Corp. has unveiled SARS RoadTrac, a fleet tracking service for the road transport industry that utilizes the integrated satellite/GPRS SureLinx satellite terminal from SkyWave Mobile Communications.

SARS commenced shipment of SureLinx units to North American SARS RoadTrac customers in Q3 2007, and anticipates further sales to midsize fleet operators. SARS RoadTrac integrates with a broad range of hardware platforms and is designed to improve the safety, security, and operational efficiencies of midsize road fleets.

"This solution combines data from GPRS and satellite networks to give customers a very low total cost of ownership while ensuring constant contact with an asset even when it's out of GPRS range," said Clayton Shelver, CEO of SARS Corp. "Integration of SARS RoadTrac with SkyWave's SureLinx dual-mode terminal enables us to deliver solutions for customers with minimal lead time."

With SARS RoadTrac, customers monitor their vehicles on a customizable map-based interface and receive real-time business intelligence regarding the status and location of vehicles. SARS RoadTrac is accessed through a standard Web browser.

"SARS Corp. is a premier provider of remote asset management and telematics solutions," says Alain Nicolle, North American sales director for SkyWave. "We are pleased to provide them with reliable, cost-effective satellite products and network services to enable a robust end-user solution. With the ubiquitous coverage provided by this solution, asset owners and end-users benefit from increased security and peace of mind regardless of where they travel."
