UK Royal Air Force Chooses AGI for RAF Fylingdales

June 27, 2006 By: GPS World Staff

The United Kingdom’s Royal Air Force’s (RAF) Fylingdales’ long-range radar station will now use Analytical Graphics, Inc. (AGI) software to enhance its Satellite Warning Service (SWSUK). The new software is designed to increase the SWSUK's ability to analyze satellite data and distribute reports to U.K. Ministry of Defence clients.

The software embeds AGI’s Satellite Tool Kit (STK) analysis and visualization engine to analyze interrelationships between land, sea, air, and space elements in a dynamic environment. The application has increased the reporting speed of the RAF Fylingdales' legacy system and has been integrated into their current processes and procedures, reportedly reducing personnel training to an average of 30 minutes per operator.
