CMTINC.com Announces iPad App Competition
February 16, 2012CMTINC.com announced that to help promote a better understanding of the usefulness of GIS, CMTINC.com welcomes iCMTGIS users to submit a presentation demonstrating how they are using the application to achieve their goals and increase work efficiency. iCMTGIS is a free app for the iPAD that can be downloaded via iTunes.

According to the announcement, the submissions will be entered in a contest with a chance to win one of 12 PC-GIS PRO software licenses valued at US$385.00 each. PC-GIS PRO is a powerful mapping program that will run on a PC or a MAC in PC mode. Among other things, it will let the user prepare background maps for use on the iCMTGIS, import the data collected using iCMTGIS, calculate statistics on the data, digitize Features on the map, and print out the map.
CMTINC.com will evaluate the entries and periodically post the winning entries at http://icmtinc.wordpress.com
Entries will be judged based on the following merits:
- Usefulness of the application
- Helpfulness of the demonstration
- Completeness: design, approach and result
- Clarity of presentation
