Solar Activity, SBAS, and 24+3 GPS Constellation Updates
As the 11-year Solar Cycle 24 ramps up, it will have an effect on GNSS users, some more than others. During the webinar, I will discuss which GNSS users are more susceptible to solar activity, why, and what they can do about it.
The second topic of the webinar will be an update on Satellite-Based Augmentation Systems (WAAS/EGNOS/MSAS/GAGAN). I will discuss the latest news and events that affect the non-aviation users of SBAS.
The third discussion topic is an update on the new 24+3 GPS constellation, which is designed to enhance GPS satellite visibility. I will discuss news, events, and status of the transition to 24+3.
