Finnian O'Cionnaith


Finnian O'Cionnaith has been working in the geospatial industry for the past seven years. He has a background in mining, a research masters in remote sensing, and is currently the GIS manager of a major environmental company in Dublin, Ireland. Epidemiology - tracking the spread of disease, in order to better control and prevent it - benefits greatly from the use of mapping tools. Public health departments worldwide are employing GIS, demographic information, and remote sensing data in their battles with bird flu, malaria, and cancer.
