JSDE/ION Joint Nav Conference Changes Dates by One Day
February 13, 2012The dates for the 2012 JSDE/ION Joint Navigation Conference 2012 have been changed. The JSDE/ION 2012 will be held June 12-15 (previously scheduled for June 11-14). Tutorials (scheduled for June 12) and For Official Use Only [FOUO] sessions will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The classified sessions will be held on Friday, June 15, at the United States Air Force Academy.
This date change was necessary to accommodate the exponential growth of the conference, and to relocate the conference’s classified and warfighter panel sessions to a larger, more comfortable location.

This year’s conference theme, “Military Navigation Technology: The Foundation for Military Ops”, will frame the four-day conference with tutorials held the morning of June 12. Technical sessions will be held June 12-14 in a “For Official Use Only,” (FOUO) environment restricted to U.S. citizens.
The classified session and classified War Fighter Panel will be held June 15 in a 4-Eyes access for citizens of the U.S., Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom. All participants must establish a need to know and be approved by the Joint Navigation Warfare Center security office.
Exhibit dates have also shifted, with exhibitor set-up taking place June 12 and show dates of June 13-14.
JNC is the largest U.S. military navigation conference of the year with joint service and government participation. The event will focus on technical advances in Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GN&C) with emphasis on joint development, test and support of affordable GN&C systems, logistics and integration. Due to the planned high level military speakers/participants and the partnership with the Air Force Academy for the classified session we are expecting a record number of attendees in 2012!
Attendance Restricted. JNC conference attendance will be controlled by the Joint Navigation Warfare Center and will be restricted to U.S. citizens only. The June 15 classified sessions will have 4-Eyes access for citizens of the U.S., Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom. All participants must establish a need to know and be approved by the Joint Navigation Warfare Center security office. Foreign national attendees must submit a visit request to the Joint Navigation Warfare Center thru their embassy channels. Foreign national visit requests must be received in accordance with USSTRATCOM policy.
