Navigon Debuts Latest Premium PND
August 26, 2008Navigon has introduced its 7200T, what it describes as a premium portable navigation device, one that incorporates of all of the high-end features it has debuted on various earlier models.
The device is built around SiRF Technologies' InstantFixII GPS receiver, and it can achieve a position reading in a matter of seconds, according to Navigon. The receiver also improves the 7200T's performance in urban canyons and areas with tall trees, the company said.
The Navigon 7200T features include:
- free real-time traffic updates for life.
- voice destination entry
- landmark View 3D.
- Reality View Pro
- Lane Assistant Pro
- flat-panel touchscreen
- integrated Bluetooth for hands-free cellular phone operation
- text-to-speech, including spoken directions with street names
- Zagat ratings and reviews
- DirectHelp, which provides driving directions and contact information for nearby hospitals, police stations, roadside assistance, and pharmacies.
- Exit Guide, which enables users to search upcoming exits for one of six POI categories, including food, gas, lodging, rest areas, auto service, or shopping. Favorites as POI: Shows stored addresses with name on the map marked with flags.
