CES: Xact Uses U-blox 5 for Trax GPS Tracker

Alberta, Canada's Venture magazine has named Hemisphere GPS as one of Alberta's fastest growing companies in its January edition, ranking it 11th in a category of 25 companies with earnings of more than $20 million.
Members of the list, dubbed growth champions by the magazine, comprise companies presenting a catalog of best business practices, according to the magazine. Competitors were ranked by growth in revenues, assets, profits, head count, and other criteria over the past three years, in two categories: over $20 million and under $20 million.
In addition to this latest award, Hemisphere GPS was the recipient of several awards in 2008 including the ASTech Leadership Foundation Award; the 2008 Innovation Award for New Technology for Western Canada; and the Deloitte Technology Green 15 Award. Alberta Venture will host a gala award celebration on February 12, 2009, in Calgary to officially celebrate the success of the Fast Growth 50 winners.
